Class Size
Less is More

Sluys/Anderson and Hebron schools have classroom sizes of 20-30 students. In government schools, classrooms are often crowded with as many as 120 students per teacher, making it nearly impossible to get a quality education.

Future
Further Education

We currently have plans to establish a vocational school for those students who choose a trade instead of higher education.

What makes Sakila different?

Sluys/Anderson Primary and Hebron Secondary schools are located in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in the village of Sakila, Tanzania, East Africa. The schools are supported by the Sakila Sponsorship Program, a non profit organization based in the United States. We receive monthly aid to provide accredited education for children in whose only option would be the tuition-based government schools that most families cannot afford.

Back in 2002, God put an enormous love into the heart of certain individuals to care for the children of Sakila. They moved forward in starting up a sponsorship program, and God led them. In 2003, Standard One (1st grade) was started with the help of many contributors. Since then, God's hand continues to be upon this program in transforming lives, needs being met, and the fruition of student's earning degrees.
